Northern California is blessed with some of the best motorcycling highways in the world. I have been lucky to have ridden on many of them. Here are some pics from a day ride going out of Fortuna, CA on Highways 299, 3 and 36, then returning to Fortuna. Distance for the day, about 237 miles
Fortuna and Highways 299, 3, and 36 are located in northwestern California, a little south of the Oregon Border. The weather can be cool and foggy along the coast, even in the summer, but by going inland just a few miles you can find warmer, sunny conditions.

Can't ride all the time, we do have to stop to eat every once in a while

I'm taking another picture - and others wait - I can take pics while I ride, but these roads are too twisty to do that safely
Sea level to 4000 feet, then back to sea level on this ride, not too bad
